Pedal Through Boulder on an eBike Tour! (Our Itinerary)
Pete Averson
Boulder, Colorado is one of the most bike-friendly cities in the country, and there's no better way to experience it than on an electric bike with a knowledgeable local guide. Here's a look at what you can expect on our Boulder eBike Tour.
Meeting Point: Central Boulder
We meet at our shop in central Boulder, where we'll get you fitted with a premium pedal-assist eBike and give you a quick safety demonstration. Don't worry if you've never ridden an eBike before — most people are comfortable within the first few minutes.
Stop 1: Pearl Street Mall
Our tour begins with a cruise down Pearl Street, Boulder's iconic pedestrian mall. Your guide will share the history of this vibrant area, from its origins as a frontier town main street to the bustling hub of shops, restaurants, and street performers it is today.
Stop 2: Boulder Creek Path
We'll hop on the Boulder Creek Path, a paved multi-use trail that winds along Boulder Creek through the heart of the city. It's a beautiful, shaded ride with mountain views around every bend. In summer, you might spot tubers floating down the creek.
Stop 3: Chautauqua Park & The Flatirons
The highlight of the tour — we ride up to Chautauqua Park at the base of the Flatirons. This is where the eBike really shines, making the uphill climb feel effortless. We'll stop for photos with the dramatic rock formations as a backdrop and learn about the Chautauqua movement that established this historic park in 1898.
Stop 4: University of Colorado Campus
On the way back, we cruise through the beautiful CU Boulder campus with its distinctive sandstone buildings and red-tile roofs. Your guide will point out Old Main, the Norlin Library, and share some fun facts about the university's history.
Stop 5: Eben G. Fine Park
We finish up at Eben G. Fine Park along Boulder Creek, a perfect spot to relax after the ride. The whole tour covers about 12 miles and takes approximately 2.5 hours.
